Another advantage of a LCD monitor over a CRT is that they use less than half the power. Furthermore, for a better picture display they have a full color active matrix TFT (Narrow Film Transistors). If you require to spend a little extra you can even buy a monitor with touch screen capability.

Some cheap LCD monitors may be priced due to dead pixels. Flat screen monitors are prone to having a few dots on the screen & retailers will often sell them at a discount. Whereas lots of people won't require to buy a monitor with dead pixels, depending on where the dots are on the screen, it can actually be a nice way to buy a cheap computer monitor at a fraction of the original price.

Some cheap LCD monitors can be wall-mounted so that you can keep your table clear. Even if it doesn't, they are slim & stylish to fit in to any room on a table or side table.
